Justin Timberlake Seen Failing Sobriety Test as DWI Arrest Video Surfaces

Sag Harbor Police have released body cam footage of the pop star's 2024 arrest, which sees the singer tell officers his "heart's racing" during a sobriety test.

Justin Timberlake was arrested for a DWI in June 2024 in Sag Harbor, New York — and now body cam footage from the incident has been released.

In the video from his arrest shared by Sag Harbor Police, the 10-time Grammy winner can be seen struggling with his sobriety test after being given a number of instructions that he repeatedly misunderstands and ultimately fails.

"These are, like, hard tests,” the now-45-year-old says at one point of the video.

Despite his passenger mentioning to police that Timberlake was a member of NSYNC, the singer was asked to proceed through the tests, including having a flashlight shined in his eyes and being instructed to walk a straight line. After stumbling a few times in the video, Timberlake stops and says: "My heart’s racing."

The singer eventually gets handcuffed, at which point a female fan can be seen coming to the scene in an attempt to give him a phone and trying to get him out of the predicament by asking the officers for a "favor."

"Can you guys please just do me a favor 'cause you loved 'Bye Bye Bye' or 'SexyBack?' Do me one favor!" the woman asks in the footage before being allowed to briefly speak to the "Suit & Tie" artist.

The arrest went unseen until recently, although it spawned memes about Timberlake’s Forgot Tomorrow World Tour being 'ruined.' A plea deal was ultimately reached by September, with the singer agreeing to pay a fine between $300 to $500 and giving a PSI about driving while intoxicated.

Earlier this month, Timberlake took legal action to block the release of the body cam footage, arguing that it was "an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy."

"The harm from public exposure — stigma, harassment, reputational injury, and the permanent loss of privacy — is immediate and irreparable," Timberlake’s lawyers stated in court documents.
