To commemorate the anniversaries of his seminal albums Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint, Jay-Z—or JAŸ-Z, once you add the umlaut he’s been using again—will be throwing two concerts at New York City’s Yankee Stadium in July.
One day after the 25-time Grammy winner was named headliner of this year’s Roots Picnic, on Wednesday (March 18) Roc Nation announced that he will be holding concerts at Yankee Stadium for Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint on July 10 and 11, respectively. The first show will seemingly celebrate thirty years of RD, while the second and final show will be dedicated to Blueprint, which turns 25 this year.
The performances mark Hov’s second and third shows of 2026 so far, as the rapper will headline the 2026 Roots Picnic at Philadelphia’s Belmont Plateau on May 30. Jay-Z will be supported by The Roots, who contributed instrumentation on his 2001 live album, Jay-Z: Unplugged. While the remaining lineup for the music festival has not been announced, Hov’s upcoming concerts serve as a homecoming, as the rapper hasn’t performed a live show since 2018.
“After meeting with Mayor Cherelle Parker and hearing her vision for Philadelphia 250, she truly inspired us to dream even bigger, and we’re grateful to her, Commissioner Susan Slawson, Jazelle Jones and everyone who helped make it happen,” stated Shawn Gee, Roots manager and Live Nation Urban president, in a statement provided to Complex. “We can’t wait to see everyone in May at the Plat.”
In 2017, the 56-year-old released his thirteenth and most recent solo album, 4:44. The following year, Jay-Z and his wife, pop and R&B icon Beyoncé, embarked on the On the Run II Tour, which supported their debut joint album, Everything Is Love.
Fans have been buzzing with speculation ever since Jay-Z began releasing archival tracks on streaming and his YouTube page with many speculating on if the flurry of activity could potentially be a sign that Jay is gearing up to drop new music.
