Hit-Boy has demanded the release of his father, rapper Big Hit.

In October, Hit-Boy shared that his dad, who was previously incarcerated for a total of 27 years, landed back in jail. This week, Hit-Boy shared a Change.com petition titled "Support Big Hit's Rights: Help Rescue Big Hit."

"Chauncey Alexander Hollis Sr., also known as Big Hit, is being unjustifiably held in Forsyth County Jail," the petition reads. "This innocuous man has been deprived of his visitation rights, access to phones, and the law library - all without a worthy cause."

It continues, "To make matters worse, his attorney, JD Byers, was dismissed and Judge Thomas D Schroeder has been suspended for professional misconduct.

"Big Hit now finds himself trapped in a harsh environment without the essential resources to advocate for himself. This situation is not just about one man. It speaks volumes about the unjust practices that afflict our legal and penal systems."

In a since-deleted Instagram post from last October, Hit-Boy shared a video of his 52-year-old father speaking from a jail call, encouraging his fans to buy his music.

Big Hit was previously sentenced to 15 years after being found in possession of cocaine, firearms, and money. After six years of freedom, Big Hit was sentenced to 12 years in prison for a hit-and-run.

"People used to ask me what was i on dropping so much music and moving around with my pops so much," Hit-Boy wrote on Instagram in October. "In the back of my mind the paranoia of him going back was always there and here we are.

"We don’t know what the future holds but Big Hit sends his love to all his supporters. He recorded over 700 songs when he was out so we got more music otw."

Following Big Hit's release from prison in December 2023, the rapper has released solo material and multiple collaborative projects, including with The Game and LaRussell.
