Freddy P Alleges Cheesecake Was for Beyoncé in Diddy's 'Making the Band' Scene

Did Beyoncé want cheesecake that badly?

Freddy P, a former member of the defunct Bad Boy Records group Da Band, claimed that Diddy tasked the team with getting the dessert, which was actually a request from the 32-time Grammy winner who was nearby at the time. The six-member crew were the season two winners of MTV's Making the Band, which aired from 2002 to 2004. In one episode, the group's founder, Diddy, demanded that they walk three hours from Manhattan to Brooklyn to grab him a slice of cheesecake.

Following Diddy’s arrest on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, Freddy P appeared on The Art of Dialogue, where he discussed a myriad of topics surround the 54-year-old, including the cheesecake mission, which he claims was for Beyoncé and not the disgraced mogul.

"Okay, fun fact a lot of people don't know—that cheesecake we went and got was for Beyoncé," Freddy claimed. "She was upstairs the whole time."

He continued, "At first [Diddy] was like, 'I want some cheesecake,' but we took all night to do the process, right? So when we got back, it was like four or five in the morning."

Freddy claimed it was upon returning to Diddy that the group was told to take it upstairs to Beyoncé, although Freddy didn't specify that she knew about the group's long walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn.

When members of the group revealed that Freddy and Dylan didn't intend to walk back, Diddy agreed with their decision, saying that he didn't "tell them" to do that.

This isn’t the first time someone has linked Beyoncé to the famous cheesecake moment. In a 2015 interview, former Da Band member Sara Rivers also suggested that Beyoncé might be the one who ate the cake. "I think the next day, maybe Beyoncé or someone else ate the cheesecake," she claimed. "I'm not sure exactly who it was because I wasn't there to see if they ate it or not, but that's what I heard—that Beyoncé or someone who came to the studio had the cheesecake."
