Fat Joe gave back to New York students just in time for the beginning of the school year.

On Sunday (Aug. 31), the Grammy-nominated rapper held a Labor Day event at new Harlem community center Paint 4 Peace – Children’s Village, where 500 backpacks filled with classroom essentials were distributed.

Joining Fat Joe at the 2037 3rd Avenue location was Rich Jospitre, co-founder of Dynasty Commodities, which sponsored the back-to-school drive. The event had a successful turnout with Harlem families that had children between six and 16 years old, and were preparing for the new school year.

The drive wouldn't be Fat Joe's first event involving children this year. During Father's Day, he partnered with his Joe and Jada co-host Jadakiss and Reform Alliance for a empowerment luncheon at Sei Less.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
