Eminem revealed some big news in his new music video for "Temporary."
On Tuesday (Oct. 3), the 15-time Grammy winner surprised fans with a heartwarming visual for the single, which features Skylar Grey. In one scene, Eminem is gifted a blue jersey by his 28-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade, that reads "Grandpa 1" on the backside, meaning that the Detroit native will be a first-time grandfather to a baby boy.
Jade got married in May to her now-husband, Evan McClintock, and recapped the special occasion on her podcast, a little shady, in August.
Eminem's long had a close relationship with his daughter even before he was famous, supporting his family when he worked odd jobs in Detroit prior to the release of his breakout 1999 album, The Slim Shady LP. Eminem is also an adoptive father to Alaina Marie Scott, 31, the daughter of his former sister-in-law, Dawn Scott, and Stevie Laine Scott, 22, the youngest daughter of his ex-wife, Kim, and her former partner, Eric Hartter.
Attending Jade's wedding was 50 Cent, who told Haute Living that he wished to have a father-daughter relationship similar to Em's.
"For female children, their dad is the first man they fall in love with. Male children go to their mom; I’m a mama’s boy myself," Fifty told the publication.
He continued, "I could always go out on the road, but with Hailie, it was different. Like if she’s looking at you and she doesn’t want you to leave and you go ‘no, I’ve got to work.’ [And she says] But really, do you have to go?’ ‘OK, maybe I don’t have to go.’ If that was the case, things might have changed for me."
