Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has welcomed a new child, but the baby isn't with his wife of over 20 years, Jordyn Blum.

On Tuesday (Sept. 10), the 55-year-old musician shocked fans with the news on Instagram, explaining that he'd recently fathered a child outside his marriage. Grohl and Blum, who married in 2003, share three daughters, Violet, Harper and Ophelia.

"I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage," the "Learn to Fly" singer wrote in a statement. "I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her."

He continued, "I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."

"We are grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."

Blum is Grohl's second wife, as the artist was previously married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. The marriage ended after Grohl reportedly admitted to cheating. Due to former Foo Fighters guitarist Pat Smear, being close friends with Youngblood, he'd leave the group in 1997, later returning as a touring guitarist in 2005 and rejoining full-time in 2010.

Grohl and Blum recently attended the 2024 US Open Tennis Championship together.
