Comedians Chris Tucker and DC Young Fly showed love to the late Michael Jackson in the days ahead of what would’ve been his 66th birthday.

The two attended the 2024 Chris Tucker Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia, during which the King of Pop's 1979 classic "Rock With You" was played on the golf course. The two danced and sang along for onlookers, which Tucker posted on Thursday (August 29), in time for his late friend's birthday.

"Had a great time this week at the MY foundation golf tournament!. Me and DC Young Fly dancing to ROCK WITH YOU!!. Happy birthday MJ!!!.🙏🏾😀⛳️🏌🏽#christuckerfoundation," he wrote in the Instagram caption.

Tucker and Jackson's friendship began around the early 2000s, when the Rush Hour star was cast in the music video for "You Rock My World." He later joined Jackson and Usher for a live performance of the song during his 30th Anniversary Celebration in 2001 via CBS.

Tucker shared with GQ in an April 2023 profile that he took a private plane back to New York, where he'd initially been waiting two days to meet with Jackson for the first time.

"I was in New York for two days waiting to meet MJ," Tucker told the publication. "I took a private jet there. I said, 'well, I ain't heard from him, I got to go.' Took a private jet back to LA and as soon as I landed, I had a message: 'Michael Jackson wants to meet you tomorrow morning.' I was still on the plane. I went up to the captain and said, 'I'll pay you whatever you want to take me back to New York.'"

Tucker and DC Young Fly have also been friends for some time, with the latter claiming that Tucker would return to the Friday franchise if he played his son.
