After almost six years of marriage, Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley have settled their divorce.

As reported by TMZ on Thursday (Jan. 9), the former spouses filed documents in Cook County, Illinois, to finalize their divorce. The documents obtained by the outlet reveal that Chance, born Chancelor Bennett, and Corley married in December 2018 (although they had a formal Newport Beach ceremony in March 2019) and have been separated for more than six months.

While their marriage has been irretrievably broken, Corley reportedly read her settlement agreement and considers it to be a just and equitable outcome.

In December, Corley filed for divorce after it was reported in April that the former couple had separated. Despite the separation, Chance and Corley made a joint statement sharing that have decided to "amicably" raise their daughters, Kensli, 9, and Marli, 5.

"After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways," the two stated on their separate Instagram Stories at the time. "We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you."

Publicly, it had appeared that Chance and Corley were on the outs, as the three-time Grammy winner was filmed at Jamaica's Carnival in April 2023, where he briefly danced with a woman while smacking her butt. Not long after, Corley posted a Maya Angelou passage about individuals who "don't grow up," which was alleged to be referencing Chance. Later that month, the couple were reportedly said to be "all good."
