Bhad Bhabie's father, Ira Peskowitz, has spoken out after his daughter alleged that he was an absentee father in her new song "Honest."
In the track, which the rapper dedicated to her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Le Vaughn, Bhabie, real name Danielle Bregoli, said that Peskowitz was a "deadbeat" and tried to reconnect with her solely for monetary gain.
"See, I was famous, now he trying to get in touch with me like I should care," she rapped. "It's fuck him though, I hope he waste away/What kind of father sacrifices a relationship for $20K?"
Peskowitz was clearly offended at the insinuation, because in a new interview with TMZ, he pointed to Bhabie's mother, Barbara Bregoli, as the source of her problems. Before Bhabie established her rap career, she and her mother were on an episode of Dr. Phil in 2016, where the then-teenager was confronted about her troublesome behavior.
Peskowitz alleged that his daughter was "raised to believe" that he didn't want a relationship with her and accused Bregoli of "parental alienation."
"Every one of those statements is a complete lie," Peskowitz said about "Honest." "I didn't sell her for $20,000. I was trying to be part of her life way before 'Dr. Phil' and right before she went on 'Dr. Phil.' I have documentation to show that I tried to get her into a program to try to help her out. I don't know why she hates me so much."
Peskowitz also claimed that he was with Bhabie for "every moment of the night at the hospital" when she was undergoing drug withdrawals, while Le Vaughn was "partying on her dime." He also alleged that Le Vaughn, whom Bhabie shares a one-year-old daughter with, spent $500,000 on the rapper's credit card.
"I don't want my daughter's money," Peskowitz asserted. "Everybody else is manipulating my daughter for money, and she knows it."
He also questioned his daughter's "purpose" in attacking him on the song, claiming that their relationship used to be "good" and they were "bonding." Peskowtiz added that he doesn't intend to sue Bhabie for defamation.
"It is just hurtful, it's frightful," Peskowitz continued about the song. "And I'm just so irate that she doesn't get the fact that I'm the only one — and my wife and her brothers — who love her for who she is and not for her money, not for her infamous, famous persona. I'm here for her."
Bhabie's relationship with her mother has also become estranged, as Barbara Bregoli allegedly assaulted one of the rapper's friends in August. One month before, Bhabie demanded that her mother stop "harassing" her.
