André 3000 will forever be a man of the people, and for his latest public service he welcomed a group of newborn babies to the world by serenading them on the flute.

On Thursday (June 5), the rapper and musician surprised four mothers and their infants at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, playing his beloved flute nearly two years after the release of his debut solo album, New Blue Sun.

"Grady moms and babies were treated to their own pop-up flute concert by the legendary @andre3000 - right here in our halls. Sounded like serenity in the key of #ATL [sparkly heart and baby bottle emoji]." Grady Hospital captioned an Instagram post, showing André posing with the families and hospital staff.

The nine-time Grammy winner has a soft spot for moms, as it's been 12 years since the passing of his late mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo. In 2018, Three Stacks released instrumental songs "Me&My (To Bury Your Parents)" and "Look Ma No Hands" on SoundCloud in dedication to his mother.

The appearance would be André's second surprise concert in Atlanta this week, as he reconnected with fellow OutKast member Big Boi and Dungeon Family members for a pop-up show near Metropolitan Parkway.

While fans continue to wait for André 3000 to rap again, he surprised fans last month with a new EP, 7 piano sketches.

He announced the album on Instagram, writing: "Warning: no bars. These piano sketches are improvisations. To conjure them up, I spread my fingers out on the keys and randomly but with purpose move them around until I find something that feels good or interesting. If it feels really good I will try to repeat it. I cannot name which notes, keys or chords that I’m playing. I simply like the sound and mechanics of piano playing."

He added: "Some of my favorite piano music composers and players that inspire me are Thelonious Monk, McCoy Tyner, Philip Glass, Stephen Sondheim, Joni Mitchell and Vince Guaraldi."
