Donald Trump Says It Would Be ‘Disloyal’ for Taylor Swift to Endorse Joe Biden Because He Made Her "So Much Money"

While countless fans were excited for the Super Bowl, Donald Trump was sitting around wondering how he could make it about him.

In a post made to his social platform Truth Social, the former president made his case for why Taylor Swift should endorse him instead of Joe Biden.

"I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act (MMA) for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists," he wrote. Signed into law in 2018, the act updated outdated copyright legislation to overhaul licensing and royalty rules. In essence, it's easier for artists to get royalty payments and makes it more efficient for fans to access music. The act got support from all sides of the industry and political spectrum, but it's important to note that Trump only signed it into law.

According to key attorney for the MMA, Dina Lapolt, Trump "doesn’t even know what the Music Modernization Act does," according to a statement supplied to Variety.

Trump's convoluted post also says that he made Swift "so much money" and that it would be "disloyal" for her to endorse Biden. The singer had previously endorsed him in 2020.

According to a report from Rolling Stone, Trump has privately claimed that he is "more popular" than Taylor Swift.

The former president also made sure to include Swift's beau, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in his strange post, writing, "I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can't stand me!"

Kelce has caught the ire of vaccine skeptics—including Aaraon Rodgers, who dubbed him "Mr. Pfizer"—for appearing in ads for the COVID-19 vaccine. Many Trump supporters are anti-vaccine although, ironically, the development of the COVID-19 vaccine through Operation Warp Speed is actullay something the Trump administration deserves credit for.

Swift has not endorsed a candidate yet for the 2024 election, possibly occupied with her whirlwind romance with Super Bowl winner, Kelce.
