“Despacito” Passes “See You Again” to Become Most Watched YouTube Video of All Time

Back in July, Wiz Khalfia and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" bumped Psy's "Gangam Style" from the throne of most watched YouTube video of all-time.

"Gangam Style" held the spot for five years prior, and also was the first vid to hit a billion views. Well, as it turns out, Wiz and Puth's run lasted less than a month, as the new most viewed video spot now belongs to Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito." As of this writing, "Despacito" had 2,998,087,581 views, to "See You Again"'s 2,994,431,459. And though these things are fluid, and there's nothing that says the current No. 2 couldn't reclaim the top spot, it seems pretty damned unlikely seeing as how "Despacito" is sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard 100, and has been there for the past 12 weeks.

The track racked up it's absurd amount of views in a brief amount of time, as it didn't hit the video-sharing site until January 12, 2017. In addition to that, it's also the most streamed song of all-time.
