T.I. Argues Lil' Kim Is Over Nicki Minaj on His Top 50 Rappers List

T.I. decided to leave it up to the democratic process leading to a unanimous vote in favor of Lil Kim.

Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim will be connected (for better or worse) for the duration of their careers. This relationship reared its head during the latest episode of T.I.'s ExpediTIously podcast.

T.I. gathered a group of associates to construct his own list of the Top 50 rappers of all time in response to Trap Music Museum's list on IG.

For this list, the group decided to focus purely on impact rather than record sales or accomplishments.

That led to a heated debate between Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim after the committee completed their ExpediTIously Top 50 rappers list. T.I. believes that they both can't make the list because "they are a direct reflection of one another." This brings him back to the initial motive of his list. Although Nicki Minaj is one of the best selling artists in the history of music, T.I. thinks that her impact doesn't stand up to Lil' Kim's.

"[Nicki] is one of the biggest-selling artists of all time and I salute that. Impact, impact, impact," T.I. reminds his council. After all the arguments were heard, T.I. decided to leave it up to the democratic process leading to a unanimous vote in favor of Lil' Kim.

Lil' Kim falls under Bun B on T.I.'s Top 50. Yet, there were several names of women rappers thrown around during their discussion. As a result, Tip conceded to the fact that he will have to do a part two of this list that's strictly dedicated to female rappers.
