UPDATED 12/18 1:10 p.m. ET: After publicly asking for help in finding his lost hard drive, which he says he left at an airport, Swae Lee has found himself in a bizarre back-and-forth with the person who claims to have it. What's worse is that the individual, who has been sharing videos with their face obscured by a Guy Fawkes mask, is demanding $150,000 if Swae wants to get his drive back.

It all kicked off after Swae went on Instagram Live only to notice the user @swaeleeharddrive was in the chat, so he went live with them. With an obscured face and voice, the anonymous person decided to showcase the belongings one at a time. There was the hard drive, a very expensive looking watch, some cash, and his personal face mask. Watching it unfold, Swae appeared to be speechless but he did ask to contact the person further.

Shortly after the stream, the account began posting messages that indicated they were looking to leak Swae's music. "20k comments and I'm dropping a @swaelee song," they wrote alongside a photo of the rapper's belongings. They followed it up with a preview of what sounds like an unreleased song, adding, "I'm actually a huge fan. This is really a wild dream come true."

We're not sure how many fans dream of holding their favorite artist's belongings hostage, but hey. "I'll give the hard drive back if I could get a picture or a feature with @champagnepapi & @swaelee together," the person added. "And stop reporting me you idiots. If they ban me he won't have a way to get his hard drive back. Look how many fake pages of me were made... But I'm here for the clout?"

Swae Lee is asking his fans for help.

On Monday, the rapper took to his Instagram Stories, where he revealed that he lost his hard drive at Los Angeles International Airport, which contains all of his music. Because the drive contains such precious material, Lee offered a $20,000 reward for anyone who can help him locate the device.

"I got 20K for anyone who found my hard drive @LAX T2 delta airlines this morning," Lee wrote to his nearly 9 million followers. "All my songs are on there."

Although he hasn't released a solo album since 2018, Swae Lee has been working on his upcoming project, Human Nature, as well as SremmLife 4 with Slim Jxmmi. But if the drive is gone for good, it could prove to be extremely detrimental for his musical output. "I GOT MY WHOLE LIFE ON THAT SHIT," he wrote in a separate tweet.

"I GOT MY WHOLE LIFE ON THAT SHIT," Swae Lee tweeted.
