As witnessed by Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster, most people use old direct messages to try to expose a friend turned rival. Drake, however, is attempting to flip this narrative and shared old social media conversations with his famous friends in hopes to inspire some hope.

On Wednesday, Drake posted several screenshots to his Instagram that show dated Twitter DMs between himself and other household names. The post begins with a nearly decade-old message from Trey Songz telling Drizzy to "hit him on the berry" before sending Drake the email to his Blackberry Messenger account. The next message was a conversation between himself and TDE tyrant Kendrick Lamar. At the time of this exchange, K. Dot was far from the superstar he is today. In fact, he hadn't even dropped his breakthrough project Section.80. Still, it seemed like the two were developing a connection that would grow as Drake was instrumental in jumpstarting Lamar's stardom. Drake also showed his deep connection with the NBA with archived messages from Kevin Durant and fellow-Torontonian Tristian Thompson.

Yet the most interesting picture for Drake fans is the conversation between himself and model Paris Morton. Morton was the confessed muse for many of Drake's cult-classic singles. This includes the extended version of Rick Ross' "Aston Martin Music" which Drake called "Paris Morton Music."

Although Drake is reminiscing, he's still moving forward. During the last show of his extended stay in London, Drake announced that he's eager to get home because he has a new album in the works that should be dropping soon.
