In recent history, rappers have had a love/hate relationship with Postmates. However, Chance the Rapper is looking to turn over a new leaf as he has partnered with the delivery service to help the youth of Chicago.

On Tuesday (Jan. 29), Postmates announced that the company is teaming up with Chance the Rapper to raise money for the artist's SocialWorks charity. According to a statement on their site, from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1, for every order placed through the app to one of Chance's favorite hometown eateries Postmates will donate $1 to his non-profit.

"We’re teaming up with Chance the Rapper to make a positive impact on the community by raising funds for SocialWorks," the post began. "Starting today, Tuesday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Feb. 1, we’ll donate $1 for every order placed from one of these places in Chance’s Fave Eats collection — up to $10,000 — to SocialWorks. Order from the collection today and we can support the youth across Chicago together."

The SocialWorks charity is a youth empowerment organization created by Chance the Rapper. Through this, Chance has created initiatives that serve as safe spaces for kids in his native-Chicago. The most famous of these is the "OpenMike." Here, he gives children and local acts a platform to showcase their talents for a young audience. Sometimes he even enlists his famous friends to give surprise performances.
