Nicki Minaj, Migos, Janelle Monáe, and More to Perform at 2018 BET Awards

The BET Awards have announced the first round of performers for this year's show.

The 2018 BET Awards will take place on Sunday, June 24 this year in Los Angeles, and the first group of performers for the 18th annual event have been announced.

Nicki Minaj, Migos, Janelle Monáe, H.E.R., and Ella Mai are among the artists who will take the stage at the Microsoft Theatre next month. The Jamie Foxx-hosted evening will air live at 8:00 p.m. ET on BET. The show will also be available to stream on the the network's international on-demand app, BET Play.

This year's award nominees were announced earlier this month and DJ Khaled leads the way with a total of six nominations—including Video of the Year (“Wild Thoughts”), Album of the Year (Grateful), and the Coca-Cola Viewer’s Choice. Kendrick Lamar follows closely behind with five nominations for Best Collaboration (“Loyalty” featuring Rihanna), Video of the Year (“Humble”), Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Album of the Year (Damn), and the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice. SZA and Migos trail Kendrick with four nominations each.

The BET Awards aren't just about music, though. Donald Glover, Michael B. Jordan, Denzel Washington, and Chadwick Boseman will be among those duking it out for the Best Actor award, while Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade, and Odell Beckham will vie for the Sportsman of the Year award. Check out all the categories and nominations here.

More performers will be announced closer to the show date.
