The J.R. Rotem-produced cut marks Ciara's return after a brief hiatus following the release of her 2015 album, Jackie. The song's title directly references her controversial #LevelUp tweet about marriage that received heavy backlash from fans in early 2018. At the time, she clarified her message and told her followers about being at her "lowest moment" as a single mom.
On the bouncy new single, Ciara sings about her old mistakes and declares that she's made her comeback:
