Truice Young's first EP has arrived.

Young, the son of Dr. Dre, has shared Vices, a five-track EP that was a year in the making. While sitting with Big Boy on Big Boy's Neighborhood, he told him how he narrowed down the EP's tracklist from the 20-30 songs he made while working on the project.

Also in the conversation below, he talks about being a producer first and finding his voice before opening up about the challenges of being Dr. Dre's son.

"It was always a second thought," Truice says at the 20-minute mark of the trust issues he developed after meeting new people for the first time. "It almost became second nature actually, just knowing that's probably what people are looking for when they talk to me."

"I remember when Beats came out," he continued. "Everyone at school came up to me asking for Beats and headphones every other day."

Truice previously made headline after getting matching tattoos with Dre, which were done by Doctor Woo a few years back. He has been stepping out of his father's shadow with his musical ambitions, starting with this R&B offering that features songs "Brown Liquor" and "Maybe." Dr. Dre appears on "Holy Water."

You can stream Vices now on Apple Music and Spotify.
