Drake and Odell Beckham Jr. are longtime friends. What’s more, OBJ’s Instagram has been a source for Drizzy’s lyrics since forever, using them as quotes to motivate others to be great.

The last time the two made headlines together was when Drake visited Beckham at the hospital back in October. The New York Giants wide receiver was recovering from a fractured ankle during the Giants’ loss to the Chargers that week.

They both shared encouraging messages on Instagram.

Beckham looks a lot better these days—enough so that he's getting back into quoting Drake lyrics again. In one recent post, he decided to share some rhymes to an untitled Drake song. It goes, “They started talkin to me like I’m slowin down, opinions over statistics of course. Gassed off journalistic, come at me and all you’ll get is the ballistic report....”

Drake already announced he was going to shift his focus to TV and film projects next year, but fans always want new Drizzy. There’s been snippets of a collab with Quavo, another leak that hit the web, and confirmation of work with Pi’erre Bourne, the producer behind Playboi Carti’s “Magnolia” and 6ix9ine’s “Gummo.”

It’s been a few years since we gotten some New Year’s anthems from Drake (the “We Made It” freestyle still goes), so maybe OBJ is hinting at some heat coming our way.
