Mac Miller’s final studio album has arrived.

At the start of 2020, Mac Miller's family made an announcement that the rapper was working on a companion album to his Grammy-nominated album, Swimming. Circles is his sixth album, completed with Jon Brion who also worked on Swimming with Miller.

According to Miller’s mother Karen Meyers, she says he was well into the process of recording Circles.

“Two different styles complementing each other, completing a circle—Swimming in Circles was the concept,” she wrote. “He had been working with Jon Brion, who after hearing some early versions of songs, cleared his calendar to help Malcolm fine-tune them. After his passing, Jon dedicated himself to finishing Circles based on his time and conversations with Malcolm.”

Brion has worn many hats in his career. He’s a multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer/songwriter, and film scorer. He’s collaborated with famed artists like Fiona Apple, Kanye West, and Sky Ferreria. His film scores include Magnolia, Punch-Drunk Love, Lady Bird, and Christopher Robin to name a few.

To accompany the news, Miller’s family released the first single titled “Good News.” The soulful song is produced by Miller and Brion, featuring Miller singing over live instrumentation. The video, directed by Eric Tilford and Anthony Gaddis, is a tribute to Miller’s career, featuring images of the young star and shots of him in front of various instruments.

Miller tragically passed away on Sept. 7, 2018 from an accidental drug overdose. Since then, Miller’s musical contributions have been honored through a benefit concert celebrating his life, various homages from artists during their live shows, and posthumous releases. Recently, he appeared on Free Nationals’ “Time” featuring Kali Uchis.

There will be three fan pop-up exhibitions held in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and New York to coincide with the project's release. Launched in partnership with Amazon Music, the exhibitions will feature immersive listenings of Circles, as well as a multimedia fan art exhibition and exclusive new Circles merch offerings. All net proceeds from pop up merch sales will go to The Mac Miller Fund.

You can stream Circles it in its entirety below via Spotify.

Multiple videos featuring tracks from the album were also released.
