Janet Jackson Earns Seventh No. 1 Album With 'Unbreakable'

Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable made history this week on the Billboard 200 chart.

Jackson’s first album in seven years moved 116,000 album units, according to Nielsen Music. Of that amount, the LP sold 109,000 in pure album sales. Unbreakable marks her seventh album to reach No. 1 in her career and makes her just the third act to achieve No. 1 album in each of the last four decades.

Unbreakable is the first LP since 2008’s Discipline, which also reached at No. 1. Her other albums that topped the list include All for You (2001), The Velvet Rope (1997), janet. (1993), Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989) and Control (1986).
