Erykah Baduwas the host for last tonight’s Soul Train Awards. Naturally, she was also billed as one of the performers along with Tyrese, R. Kelly,Babyface,Jeremih, Lion Babe and more.
During a preview of her performance of “Phone Down,” the 44-year-old singer instructs men in the audience to put their phones down. Badu even checks Tyrese, who continues to keep talking on his cell phone until she snatches it away from him. In the full clip that aired, she goes into another classic, "Tyrone," and some funny banter ensues with her money-grubbing boo.
