Premiere: Markus Azeriah Reminisces on Past Lovers in "Big Papi"

Canadian R&B newcomer Markus Azeriah premieres the sensual and sizzling new music video for his song latest R&B track 'Big Papi' reminiscing on past love.

Toronto-born Latino R&B newcomer Markus Azeriah reminisces on love lost with the music video for his sensually nostalgic track “Big Papi.”

The song samples its mellow beat from the ’90s hip-hop throwback “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa” by The L.O.X, which is a memorial song for the late Biggie Smalls.

Azeriah says “Big Papi” is an intimate reflection on past lovers that got away. Of the music video, Markus tells us he wanted it to be raw with lots of room for the viewer to imagine and relate the scenes back to their own personal experiences.

The lyrics to “Big Papi” sensually sizzle over top of the soothing production, with the chorus seamlessly morphing between past and present intimacy: “I’m the one, ain’t no stopping me/You hold it down and you finally on top of me/She’ll always love Big Papi/See I’m different, no one could top me.”

Markus’ vocal delivery is seriously smooth, relaying a magnetic charm that keeps you wondering what he’ll come out with next.
