This week kicked off with footage of Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z in an elevator while Beyoncé stood back watching leaked from Standard Hotel. Since the initial reports, rumors began circulating that Rihanna's afterparty and Dame Dash's ex-wife Rachel Roy caused the family strife. The Knowles sisters exchanged subliminal shots via Instagram, a Standard Hotel employee was fired, and conspiracy theories and hilarious memes made their rounds on the Internet.

Cam'Ron and A-Trak gave us a break from the Carter-Knowles family drama by getting Dipset together for the "Dipshits" music video. With Juelz Santana on the hook, a Jim Jones cameo, production by Just Blaze, and a signature Dame Dash rant to close out the song the video brings you back to Dipset in their prime.

Another Carter who made headlines this week was Lil Wayne, who released a new song called "D'usse" and is flawlessly keeping his promise to fans about working harder this year after being snubbed from two major award shows in 2013. This week also marked the posthumous return of Michael Jackson with the release of Xscape, an album put together by his estate along with executive producer and Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid. Check out all that and more on What The Hell Just Happened In Music This Week?

TMZ released leaked footage that shows Solange attacking Jay Z in an elevator at The Standard Hotel after a Met Gala party.

Date: May 12 and 15

Video footage of what appears to be Solange attacking Jay Z in an elevator after the Met Gala surfaced this week. In the video obtained by TMZ, Jay, Solange, and Beyoncé are all packed in the elevator along with what looks to be a security guard at the Standard Hotel in NYC, and are still dressed in their formal wear. In the video, Solange begins kicking and hitting Jay repeatedly, while he backs up towards one side of the elevator.

On Thursday May 15, Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Solange made their first public statement following the release of the footage of Solange attacking Jay in an elevator. They didn't address what caused the incident, but did note that they have all moved past the issues as a family. It was reported that The Standard Hotel has fired the employee who leaked the video of the fight.

Rumors surrounding the incident between Solange and Jay Z in an elevator at the Standard Hotel began to surface. According to a report by the New York Daily News, Solange allegedly became upset with Jay Z when he left the Standard's Met Gala after party to attend Rihanna's after party. Other reports claimed that Dame Dash's ex-wife Rachel Roy got a little too flirty, which set Solange off on both her and Jay Z. Zach Frydenlund
