VH1 recently released the TLC biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Storywhich chronicled the R&B group's rise to fame during the '90s. Remaining members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas served as consultants and executive producers for the film, where they shared both the good and bad moments throughout their career.
A few weeks after its premiere, TLC's former manager Perri "Pebbles" Reid has released a statement regarding her portrayal in the film. She claims they depicted a false representation of her, and that she "never cheated" or misled anyone when it came to the group's finances. TLC famously filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1995 despite the immense success of their album CrazySexyCool and its singles, including "Waterfalls" and "Creep."
