As if Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe, and Remy Ma weren't enough for Drake's final MSG show, the Toronto representative decided to bring one more special guest out for the night: J. Cole.

Cole may be from Fayetteville, N.C., but the 31-year-old rapper spent part of his adulthood in NYC and as of late has been spotted around Queens, so the crowd naturally treated him like a son of the city when he came out to perform "No Role Modelz" and "A Tale of 2 Citiez" off 2014 Forest Hills Drive, as well as his verse off Jeremih's "Planez."

Drake embraced his peer on stage with a hug.

For those unaware of Drake and Cole's relationship, it runs deeper than most others in the rap industry. The two artists came up together, releasing both their first mixtapes and their debut studio albums within just about year of each other. They have collaborated on wax as well. Last summer during Cole's homecoming show, he brought out Drake to perform and the two shared a special moment.

Before Cole left the stage Monday night at MSG, Drake gave the rapper high praise by calling him "one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists of our generation."

Going double platinum with no features will put anyone in rarefied air, memes be damned.
