Today is April 1st, which means the internet is flooded with April Fools’ jokes. But one thing that’s no joke is a new album from Skrillex.

The leogndary DJ has dropped a new album title F*ck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol But Ur Not!! <3. It’s his first album since Quest for Fire and Don’t Get Too Close, which both came out in 2023 just a day apart.

The album—which can be conveniently shortened to FUS—marks a significant moment for Skrillex: it’s his final album under the OWSLA label, which he co-founded back in 2011. The album seems to be happening during a true circle moment; over the weekend he  returned to the ULTRA Music Festival stage in Miami—a place he hadn’t performed at in 10 years.

In true Skrillex fashion, FUS was a surprise drop. He made the announcement on Instagram a day before the release, with a post that simile read “OUT TOMORROW,” with a snippet of the album.

The album is a genre-bending odyssey, with 32 tracks spanning around 50 minutes of maximalist, mind-bending dubstep, laced with elements from a wide range of genres and influences. From hyperpop to nostalgic Datpiff-era Trap-A-Holics drops, the album is a whirlwind of references. (And early on, it's encouraged you listen in one sitting, rather than hopping around.) Throughout the album, Skrillex enlists help from artists like Starrah, Boys Noize, Dylan Brady, Eurohead, Varg2™, Wuki, and more.
