Yesterday came and went without fans getting the chance to hear Kid Cudi's hotly anticipated new album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin. Cudder, who is set to appear at this year's ComplexCon on Nov. 5th, had set the release date of Sept. 29 quite a while back, but at the last minute pushed the project back into TBD status, and for a very good reason.

"Due to some sample clearances still being finalized, we miss our deadline for tonight's release," Cudi wrote in a note that he shared on Twitter last night. "Waiting to hear from the label on an official pre order, release date, platform availability. Can't have anything else hold this up and want to give them the time they need to handle their business and get you the right details." He added, "I appreciate all the fam rootin for me as well as your patience and I'll have more concrete info about the singles releasing and the album for you tomorrow [meaning today]."

Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin has become one of the most anticipated new releases of 2016. Recently, Cudi shared a track list that showed that album carries with it guest features from the likes of Pharrell, Travis $cott, and not one, but two spots from the ever-elusive André 3000.

While the wait might be a little painful for the fans that had been holding out for this new album, it really feels like the wait will be more than worth it in the end.
