Ever since Kanye West opened up about his relationship with Jay Z during a concert in Seattle on his current Saint Pablo tour, many people have been left wondering what the Roc-A-Fella boss thinks of his longtime friend and Watch The Throne partner. If Page Sixis to be believed, we might have the answer.
The gossip publication reached out to a source in the music industry allegedly familiar with the situation who said that the friendship between the two superstars was never as deep as they made it out to be in public. "Jay can’t stand him," said the source. "He looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherf***er he can tolerate in small doses. Kanye is a nut job. Everyone knows that."
Going further down that road, the anonymous source also revealed that their buddy-buddy chemistry during the Watch The Throne tour back in 2012 was a sham. "Jay Z 'tolerated' West because 'there was so much money to be made," Page Six reports. According to the source, "Jay was like, 'I’m gonna knock this out. We’re going to do a tour to bring in millions of dollars. I can tolerate that.'"
On Wednesday night, West took to his floating stage at Key Arena in Seattle and told fans the following during his rap on Drake's song "Pop Style," leading many to speculate about the reality behind the relationship between two of the biggest rappers in the game:
Jay Z has not yet commented publicly on West's remarks.
