After weeks of buildup, including a four-part Road to Homecoming documentary series, HBO finally aired J. Cole's Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming concert earlier tonight. The star-studded show featuring appearances from Jay-Z, Drake, Big Sean, and YG took place last summer in Cole's hometown of Fayetteville, N.C.
Rather than just another run-of-the-mill collection of live footage, however, Homecoming is interspersed with a number of behind the scenes vignettes that capture candid moments leading up to the big show. It very nearly brings to mind another HBO concert documentary for Jay-Z and Beyoncé's On the Run Tour that ran on the network last year. You can watch J. Cole's Homecoming concert above.
