Released in April 2018, Beerbongs & Bentleys arrived as the follow-up to Post's 2016 debut Stoney and immediately rewrote the commercial playbook for crossover rap. The album was recorded at studios in Calabasas, Hollywood, New York City, and Atlanta, with a production roster that included Louis Bell, London on da Track, Scott Storch, Frank Dukes, and Andrew Watt, among others, and features from Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Swae Lee, G-Eazy, Ty Dolla Sign, and YG.
By the time the album dropped, Post had already demonstrated the kind of chart pull that most artists spend careers chasing. Singles "Rockstar" and "Psycho" peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the album has since been certified five-times platinum by the RIAA.
