Uchis told Billboard that Sincerely would be a departure from her previous album Orquídeas, which she described as "very dance."
"It's my most vulnerable work. It’s very existential," she said. "My last album was very dance, this is completely the opposite direction. This is an emotional one."
Aside from being "emotional" and "existential," Uchis shared with Angie Martinez that she considers Sincerely to be her "most cohesive body of work." While there is an absence of Spanish songs, the Grammy-winning singer vowed to deliver those tracks with a deluxe version.
