J-Hope's first EP and soundtrack, Hope on the Street Vol. 1, is available now on vinyl on Complex.
Released in 2024, the six-track project marks a return to the BTS member's artistic origins. The album explores dance as the foundation of J-Hope's creative identity, tracing his journey from street dance crews in his hometown of Gwangju, South Korea, to global stages with BTS. An accompanying six-part docuseries on Prime Video follows J-Hope through cities including Osaka, Paris, New York, and Seoul, where he connects with street dancers who shaped his approach to movement and music.
The album features collaborations with Jung Kook of BTS, Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers, Huh Yunjin of Le Sserafim, Jinbo the SuperFreak, Gaeko, and Yoon Mirae. The project follows J-Hope's 2022 solo debut Jack in the Box, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
