The Beatles' Revolver Special Edition Super Deluxe Vinyl is available to purchase on Complex.
Released in 1966, Revolver marked a turning point in The Beatles' creative evolution and popular music itself. The album spun music off its axis and ushered in a new era of experimental, avant-garde sonic psychedelia. With Revolver, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr set sail together across a new musical sea, moving beyond the pop sensibilities that defined their earlier work.
The super deluxe vinyl edition includes four LPs and a seven-inch EP. The first LP presents the new 2022 stereo mix of the album's 14 tracks, including "Taxman," "Eleanor Rigby," "Yellow Submarine," and "Tomorrow Never Knows." LPs two and three feature 31 session recordings with early takes, rehearsals, and home demos. The fourth LP contains the original mono mix sourced from the 1966 master tape. The seven-inch EP includes new stereo mixes and remastered original mono mixes of "Paperback Writer" and "Rain."
The package also includes a 100-page hardcover book featuring a foreword by Paul McCartney, an essay by Questlove, detailed track notes, photos, handwritten lyrics, tape boxes, and extracts from Klaus Voormann's graphic novel on the making of the iconic cover art.
