Day two at Osheaga 2012 was more hip-hop heavy than its start. A$AP Rocky bodied one stage, while Snoop Dogg, barked at night's end. Indie favorites like Little Dragon held it down, too.

Young the Giant
Stage: Scène de la Montagne
Time: 4:45pm
The entire band was glad to be performing at Osheaga. But Giant’s drummer François Comtois was just a bit more amped. It’s his hometown, announced lead singer Sameer Gadhia to cheers. Gadhia was a force while shaking his tambourines, drawing in passersby with his voice, while the band revved up the true fans with hits like “Cough Syrup” and “My Body.”

Stage: Scène Verte
Time: 6:30pm
Rocky’s got some die-hard fans—some which dress like superheroes. “Shout out to the homie in the cape for holding it down,” said a shirtless Rocky from the stage. During "Goldie" several bodies sprouted up over the crowd for some surfing. “I just want one more song before I go,” he said before bouncing. “Show me love Canada.” Than his "Pesos" rang off. They gave him plenty.
Yeasayer
Stage: Scène Verte
Time: 8:00pm
The Brooklyn group’s Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton and Anand Wilder and their three-part harmonies wowed their crowd, which was a bit smaller than the one A$AP Rocky had just an hour before. “We’re going to play some old songs and some new songs,” one announced. Then they kicked into the single from their forthcoming Fragant World album, “Longevity."
Little Dragon
Stage: Scène Piknic Électronik
Time: 8:45pm
The Swedish band was a little late to the stage. Fortunately, their mix of electro and R&B was worth the wait. They play all of their music live with a band and hit their massive crowd cuts from their indie three-album catalogue, including Ritual Union. Lead singer Yukimi Nagano bounced around the stage, standing still every once in a while to bang a cowbell, while the excited crowd enjoyed them and their stellar light show.
Snoop Dogg
Stage: Scène de la Rivière
Time: 9:15pm
"Is anybody smoking weed?” asked the DJ before the headliner blazed the stage. “This ain't nothing but a Snoop Dogg party." Then the man stepped out, bouncing to his "I Wanna Rock." It certainly wasn’t the epic Dr. Dre-assisted performance he had at Coachella this year, but Snoop’s got more than enough personality and hit records to hold any show down solo. When he demanded his DJ to “Give me some muthafuckin’ pimp music,” he got “P.I.M.P.” Then he brought out a pair of thick pair of dancers for “Califoria Gurls.” “Say I wanna get fucked up," he request a little later. “Gin and Juice” followed. And so went the show. It’s safe to say Snoop kept the crowd lifted.
