Wu-Tang Clan fans down under are receiving refunds after several of the group’s members didn’t appear at the two Australian dates for their Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour.
Billboard reports that Ticketek has offered refunds to fans in Melbourne and Sydney, following the collective’s March 25 show in Brisbane, where fans pointed out online that Method Man, Raekwon, Cappadonna and Young Dirty Bastard were absent. RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, and U-God were present.
The tour, unveiled last year, was promoted as an “all members” trek, suggesting that every Wu-Tang member would perform. Prior to the Australian leg of the tour, the group shared on its Instagram Story that Method Man couldn’t make it to Australia, but didn’t mention the other members’ absences.
“We want to make fans aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, a couple of members will be unable to join the remaining tour dates in Melbourne and Sydney,” Ticketek said in a statement. “Wu-Tang Clan will be performing and bringing everything that has made them one of the most iconic live acts in hip-hop history.”
Melbourne and Sydney fans who didn’t want to attend the shows were given the option to receive a refund.
Wu-Tang Clan last toured Australia in May 2023 with Nas on the NY State of Mind Tour. The Australian leg of the collective’s Final Chamber Tour was marketed as their “final” appearance in the country.
