Trevor Noah isn’t going to chance Kendrick Lamar’s wrath.

On Sunday at the Grammys, Noah stood next to Lamar and congratulated him for being the “most-nominated artist of the year.”

“That's right, nine nominations this year. Congratulations. And that is all I'm gonna say—congratulations. I actually thought about writing a few jokes, roasting you, but then I remembered what you can do to light-skinned dudes from other countries. Yeah, me and my delegation are still recovering from the pain,” Noah quipped, referencing Dot’s infamous beef with Drake.

So far, as of this writing, among Kenny’s wins are best rap album for GNX, best rap song for “TV Off,” best melodic rap performance for “Luther,” and best rap performance for the Clipse song “Chains and Whips.”

While he didn’t win best pop duo/group performance for “30 for 30” and best rap performance for his own song, “TV Off,” he’s still poised to win record of the year and song of the year for “Luther,” and album of the year for GNX.

As for Lamar and Drizzy’s 2024 feud, most fans agree that the Compton rapper ultimately won the standoff, with “Like That” and “Not Like Us” debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remaining cultural touchstones almost two years later.
