An Atlanta teacher is using freestyles as a reward for doing well in his classroom—and some artists are taking notice.

On Nov. 8, teacher Sammy Rigaud tweeted a clip from his Facebook Live feed where a few of his young students are rapping for Freestyle Fridays. “Freestyle Friday’s!!! If you get 80% or higher on the weekly assessment..... you get a turn,” Rigaud wrote.

6lack, Lou the Human, and J Stash responded to the viral video.

Freestyle Fridays seem to be routine for Rigaud’s class. His Twitter thread also included a music video shot last year that features students rapping, as well as photos of him and the kids, and their classroom motto.
