Saweetie is no stranger to internet trolls, so much so that she has a very specific method for managing them.
"If I want to respond to something, I give myself a five-minute timer," the "Best Friend" rapper told Angie Martinez on her IRL Podcast (around the 7:20 minute mark in the video below).
"And if I still feel intensely about that reply, then I'll post it. I set my timer," she added, laughing. "No, because…some of my responses are so crazy, and I'm really happy that I wasn't impulsive with it. But you know, sometimes I might be a different girl five minutes later. So I really buffer myself that way. And so when I post something and it's a clapback or a response, I'm standing on it. I had time to think about it."
In mid-September, the Bay Area native found herself making headlines once again when 6ix9ine insisted that Migos broke up because Offset allegedly slept with her.
A couple of weeks later, during a conversation on Baby, This is Keke Palmer, Offset denied the accusations, claiming that his relationship with Quavo became strained due to other reasons.
"No, man. It was a rumor, man. And I feel like it was something deeper than that for the split of me and bro," Set said. "I don't really want to touch on [it], but it's something deeper than that. I think that was a thing that — a bug that I heard. I think people was trying to tear my situation down in that situation."
Rumors that Offset cheated on Cardi B with Saweetie surfaced in 2022, a year after Saweetie and Quavo broke up in 2021. The only time Saweetie seemed to address the gossip was in 2022, when she appeared to respond to Joe Budden after he told her to "shut the fuck up" until she spoke on rumors that she slept with Offset.
In a post on X, she wrote: "Saweetie needs to STFU????? ok joelisha."
