Olivia Rodrigo has shared that one of the biggest compliments she's ever received came from SZA.
During a conversation with BBC News, Rodrigo recounted running into the TDE singer at the 2024 Grammys, where she told Rodrigo that "she studied some of [her] songs for her songwriting."
"I thought that that was the biggest compliment ever," Rodrigo admitted around the 10:20 mark in the video below, adding that she thinks SZA is "one of the greatest living songwriters."
In April, SZA also praised the cover for Olivia’s new album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love — which arrived on Friday (June 12) — writing on Instagram: "Insane" alongside three fire emojis.
Rodrigo’s third studio album — her first in almost three years, following 2023’s Guts — includes the No. 1 single, "Drop Dead," and "The Cure."
In late April, the 23-year-old nnounced The Unraveled Tour in support of her new album. The trek will kick off in September 2026 with back-to-back shows in Hartford, Connecticut, with stops in Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn, before wrapping with a set of two performances in Barcelona, Spain in May 2027.
