Megan Thee Stallion has filed to trademark her earworm of a catchphrase, “Hot Girl Summer."

HotNewHipHop reports the trademark was filed on July 10, the same day the Houston rapper told a curious fan that she's “been in the process” of making it happen. As the expression has gone viral online, major brands like Wendy’s, Duolingo, Forever 21, and Maybelline have capitalized on it in their marketing, according to Billboard.

If approved, the trademark will cover merchandise for products like hoodies, t-shirts, and sportswear.

Thee Stallion is also reportedly releasing a song of the same name, which she's teased on Twitter and Instagram. She’s also running her own official Hot Girl Summer playlist on Spotify, which has over 115,000 followers.

Megan has defined “being Hot Girl” as “being unapologetically YOU, having fun, being confident, living YOUR truth, being the life of the party etc.”

Back in March, Cardi B tried to trademark her well-known “okurrr” saying, but the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office later denied her filing, stating her slogan is a “widely used commonplace expression.”
