Lil Kim is being honest about her fans.

During a conversation with Nick Cannon’s Big Drive, the legacy artist was asked what inspires her. “My family, my friends, people who believe in me,” she said at the 17:10 minute mark. She then added, “I can't stand my fans sometimes.”

When Cannon asked why, she explained, “I hate them ‘cause they don't get it. I really feel like some of them—and I'm not talking to all of them, obviously—but like the ones that think they know me, think they control me, think that they know best for me.”

Cannon responded by describing them as the “fanatics” and “stans.”

“I told them, believe it or not, y'all are the reason why we're not where we supposed to be yet,” she revealed.

Cannon replied, “They love you, though. They just love you with so much passion and conviction. They feel like they so close to you.”

“Elevation was always my thing,” Kim said. “The reason why I think I'm still moving now is because I had learned to say, fuck, fuck, whatever it ain't. I don't care no more. I'm going to do it my way.”

“You've been proven, doing it your way has worked this far,” Cannon added.
