Kid Cudi Addresses Speculation of His Sexuality: ‘Man Can’t Even Smile and Be Happy No More’

Kid Cudi went on a Twitter rant this past weekend, calling out 'homophobic and sad' trolls who comment on his Instagram.

Kid Cudi is putting his homophobic haters on blast.

The Entergalactic creator took to Twitter on Saturday to address the comments he receives online about his sexuality, saying that he can’t even show that he’s happy without someone calling him gay.

“U know what’s crazy, and really makes me question the world we live in, is when I post a picture of me smiling on ig and there's mad comments questioning my sexuality floodin my page w insults,” he began. “I feel really bad for yall man. It's sad out here. Man can’t even smile and be happy no more. Smh.”

“It’s like, ‘Oh he smiling too hard!! He def sucks a dick!’ It’s like word?? That’s what we on now??” He continued. “Homophobic and sad and will be miserable their whole lives.”

Cudi then started interacting with fans, telling one, “It’s more the ignorence [sic], I'm not insulted.” He continued, “It’s just sad to see people so lame, it’s sad someone, a man, can’t show joy without there being some conversation about their [sexuality]. People been callin me gay for years, it is what it is, it just never reached this level of fuckery until now.”

To another fan who pointed out that the rapper is “literally just smiling,” Cudi wrote, “I’m sayin I’m like God DAMN cats are SUPER homophobic like REACHING for gayness everywhere they look hahah.”

Cudi explained a bit about why he is the way he is, telling a user, “When I was a lil boy, my dad was super militant. He never liked us playin around most of the time. He was very strict,” he shared. “Its almost like being silly was a sign of weakness to him. I vowed when I was young to never let anyone, not even my father, dim my light.”
