Keke Palmer has teased her appearance in Usher’s upcoming music video for “Boyfriend.”
Palmer took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a clip from the visual, sharing the Aug. 16 release date and a link to pre-save the track.
The video shows separate shots of Keke and Usher, with Usher singing in the background, “Somebody said that your boyfriend’s looking for me.”
If you’ve kept yourself apprised of the Keke drama from earlier this summer, then you know that her appearance in the video is quite apropos. In July, the father of her child, Darius Jackson publicly slammed Keke on Twitter after a video of her singing “There Goes My Baby” with Usher went viral.
In the clip, Keke can be seen wearing a sheer black dress and black bodysuit, and embracing Usher as he sang. Jackson reacted to the clip, tweeting, “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom.”
He was met with fierce criticism. Keke didn’t directly address his criticism, instead sharing a series of photos that further showed off her outfit. "I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late!" she captioned the images on Instagram.
Usher later broke his silence regarding the drama between Keke and Jackson.

Keke Palmer made headlines because of her boyfriend Darius Jackson, who negatively commented on the outfit she wore to an Usher concert.
"I think everybody's vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas," he told People. "And that's what I hope came out of it. Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or conversation about that song."
He continued, "Every night, I'm thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I'll have with whoever I'm choosing to sing to. But it was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least a conversation going and we just keep it light. I don't see anything negative happening in Las Vegas."
