Karol G made history at Coachella.
This year, she became the first Latina to headline the festival, closing the event on April 12 and April 19. During her set last night, she announced that she’s going on tour.
“Nos Vamos de Tour”—we’re going on tour—text read on the festival screens while she performed her last song, “Provenza.”
The Colombian singer hasn’t yet revealed the dates for her upcoming tour, which will be in support of her 2025 album, Tropicoqueta. Her next trek will follow her 2023 to 2024 Mañana Será Bonito Tour, which grossed $313.3 million over 65 shows, per Billboard.
Both of her Coachella sets saw a handful of special guest appearances, including J Balvin, Peso Pluma, Ryan Castro, Wisin, Becky G, and Mariah Angeliq.
Karol also dedicated her historic moment to her Latin community.
“This is for my Latinos that have been struggling in this country lately. We stand for them, I stand for my Latino community, and at the same time, I'm very proud because this brings out the best of us: unity, resilience, a strong spirit,” she said on April 12.
“We want everyone to feel welcome to our culture, to our roots, to our music. So I just want everyone to feel proud of where you come from, please,” she added. “Don’t feel fear, feel proud.”
