It seems that Ye’s legal troubles regarding his former assistant may be over soon.
According to Los Angeles Superior Court documents seen by Complex, the artist formerly known as Kanye West and his ex-assistant Lauren Pisciotta are close to settling her lawsuit, in which she accused him of sexual harassment, assault, battery, sex trafficking, and more.
On Monday (June 29), a hearing occurred where lawyers from both sides talked to Judge Nicholas F. Daum about the status of the case. Per an official record of the proceedings, the attorneys revealed that they had attended mediation on June 4, and that “the parties have settled in principal.”
As a result, the case’s next hearing has been canceled so the sides can finalize their agreement. The parties are next due back in court on September 29.
“Ms. Pisciotta wishes to keep any settlement discussion she may be having with Ye’s team private,” Pisciotta’s attorney, Arick Fudali from The Bloom Firm, told Complex.
Complex also reached out to West’s attorney Eduardo Martorell, but he did not respond.
Pisciotta first sued West in 2024, initially for sexual harassment and wrongful termination, claiming he fired her after he sent her sexually explicit text messages and videos.
"See my problem is I be wanting to fuck but then after I fuck I want a girl to tell me how hard they been fucked while I'm fucking them. Then I want her to cheat on me …," one of the text messages from Kanye allegedly read.
Pisciotta claims she was promoted to Chief of Staff for Ye’s various companies with an annual salary of $4 million before being fired in October 2022. She says she was never paid the $3 million severance she was offered.
Later, in 2025, Pisciotta filed a new complaint, where she tacked on additional accusations, including assault, battery, and sex trafficking, and labeled Ye a “sexual abuser” and “sexual harasser.”
