With the help of Kanye West and Chick-fil-A, the Los Angeles Dream Center has been able to serve 300,000 meals to the L.A. community since mid-March.

Chick-fil-A (which West paid tribute to on Jesus Is King's "Closed on Sunday") has contributed sandwiches every day to the Christian nonprofit and Anthem Blue Cross has donated hundreds of bottles of hand sanitizer. Other local businesses have also donated food, allowing the Dream Center to provide 11,000 meals a day in America’s second-biggest school district. The founder toldFox News that the accomplishment has been a “miracle of biblical proportions.”

“Every morning I wake up and stand in the parking lot with our dedicated staff, I am blown away that day after day, week after week, there is enough food to provide to folks that need it,” Dream Center co-founder Matthew Barnett told the news outlet.

“The Los Angeles Dream Center has transformed into the Grand Central Station of food distribution and other basic essentials,” he added. “I’m so grateful that our team has stayed healthy, and that we’ve found a safe way to meet the urgent needs within our community. I can’t say thank you enough to the various donors who’ve made this a reality. This is what a neighborhood, a community, and a church should always look like.”

When the Los Angeles Unified School District shut down on March 13, the nonprofit stepped in. Now the Dream Center is supplying food and essential items seven days a week, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. PT.

Kanye’s involvement has allowed the nonprofit to now offer meal delivery to the elderly who are quarantined in nursing homes. The Dream Center’s mobile food banks also allow it to deliver to 20 communities in Watts and Skid Row.
