Janet Jackson’s siblings aren’t the only talented people in her family.

On Tuesday, the singer sat down with the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, where she was asked about her family tree—and whether she’s related to Stevie Wonder. She also revealed some other insane surprises about her famous family.

“He’s our cousin,” she told host Scott Mills of Wonder. “Not a lot of people know that. He’s our cousin on my mother’s side. So is Tracy Chapman. So is Samuel L. Jackson.”

She then described all three of them as her “cousins,” adding, with a laugh, that Jackson “would be a cousin too. I mean, he’s not my brother.”

However, despite Janet’s claims that she’s related to Samuel, the actor previously denied that he and the singer’s brother, Michael Jackson are family. In an interview with Wired in 2017, the actor cleared up some misconceptions about his life, one of them being whether he and MJ are related.

“Nope,” Samuel said in the clip.

Janet is the youngest of nine siblings in the Jackson family and is eight years younger than her legendary brother, Michael. But every Jackson kid is musically inclined, with all nine—Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, and Randy—of them landing gold records.
